Linoleic acid is a fatty acid with a molecular formula of C18H32O2, and its scientific name is cis,cis-9,12-octadecadienoic acid. Linoleic acid exists in animal and vegetable oils and fats in the form of glycerides, and is the main component of linseed oil, cottonseed oil and other drying oils and semi-drying oils composed of glycerides.
Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a naturally occurring fatty acid that belongs to the category of polyunsaturated fatty acids.
