Ferulic acid As is a common phenolic acid in the plant kingdom, ferulic acid constitutes the skeleton of cell walls with polyhexose and proteins in plant cell walls. It is one of the effective components of Chinese angelica, hemlock parsley, asafetida and other traditional Chinese medicines, and also shows higher contents in food raw materials, such as rice bran, rice hull, wheat bran, vanilla beans.
It has been discovered in recent years: ferulic acid is a new non-peptide endothelin antagonist, having the effect of whitening skin, and meanwhile the functions of anti-free radicals, anti-oxidation and body-building, promoting blood microcirculation as well as protecting the skin. It is a white to light yellow crystalline powder, and it`s soluble in hot water, ethanol.
